About my swift
site
I will be using this page as a way to let parents know what is
going on in class. Below is a directory of how I plan to use the
tabs.
Announcments wil include the Daily Log. The daily log is a
brief outline of what we did that day.
Documents will include most handouts from class.
Homework will be posted under the homework tab. Your son or
daughter may not have homework everynight as a lot of the
class is lab/activity based and will be completed in class.
Biography
I hail from the great Pacific Northwest. I graduated from the
Science and Math Education program at Oregon State University in
2003 with an MS in Science Education. I spent one year
working at Southern High School in Durham, North Carolina, where I
taught Physical Science, Environmental Science and AP Environmental
Science. I then moved back to the Portland area where I
worked at Sandy High School for the past four years.
During my tenure I taught Advanced Physical Science, Biology,
Zoology and Ecology. I was head coach for both the swimming
and water polo programs and helped to establish the school's Green
Club.
I will be coaching the secondary swim team this year. I can't
wait to see everyone in the pool again.
I really enjoyed the past year and I am excited about this
one. I can't wait to get to know all of those students and
families that are new to our community. If you have question
