Dear Parents and Students,
I am pleased to be a part of the AISL
Grade 6 team this year. My name is Jacqueline E. Burns. I was born
and raised in Dallas, Texas. I have over 20 years experience
teaching in the United States and abroad. My overseas experience
includes working at various international schools in Stockholm,
Sweden, Doha, Qatar, Guangzhou, China, and Bangkok, Thailand.
I will be teaching Sixth Grade Science, Health
and English. I have 6-12 secondary certifications in English and
Biology and K-12 Reading Specialist Certification. A proud graduate
of the Dallas Public Schools , I received my B.S. Degree in English
and Biology and a Masters in Secondary and Higher Education at
Texas A&M University. I also attended Project Zero Summer
Institute for Teachers at Harvard University in 2007
