Dear students and
parents: Greetings! My name is Mariana Bonnet and this is my first year at AIS Lagos. It is a real pleasure to introduce myself and to share with you an overview of what I expect will be a wonderful year in the visual arts. The job of inspiring young people to express themselves, take risks, and engage and communicate their passions through a variety of mediums continues to excite me. I find the creative process rewarding, challenging and invigorating, and feel privileged to be a part of my students’ expressive and artistic experience. My classroom has a disciplined, yet relaxed and comfortable learning atmosphere, where the door is always open to students to discuss work and explore ideas. I graduated from Escuela de Artes Plasticas Cristobal Rojas and have a Bachelor’s degree in Fine Arts with a major in painting from Instituto Suerior de Artes Plasticas Armando Reveron in Caracas Venezuela. Furthermore I have completed the International Baccalaureate certificate program in San Jose Costa Rica. Prior to this school year I worked for two years at the International School of Caracas and before this at the American International School in Caracas (Escuela Campo Alegre) as a substitute Art teacher for almost one year. I have also been a full time university teacher of visual art at Instituto Superior de Artes Plasticas Armando Reveron. As the school year continues the syllabus will be in the documents section of my website. If you have any questions do not hesitate to contact me at mbonnet@aislagos.com |
